• Haji Ajmal Ali – our Founder Father – leaves his homeland in the north-eastern part of India in 1950 and travels to Mumbai.

    In 1951 Haji Ajmal Ali starts blending various kinds of fragrant oils – thereby transforming from a Farmer into a Perfumer. He becomes a manufacturer of fragrances and emerges as the premier supplier of fragrances to the Gulf.

    Ajmal broadens its horizons and opens the first Ajmal outlet in Dubai, UAE. (Murshid Bazaar)

  • 1979
    Ajmal launches a massive afforestation program in its Agarwood plantations in Assam, India.

  • 1986
    Ajmal sets up 1st Manufacturing unit in Dubai, UAE.
    Simultaneously, a hi-tech Research & Development facility is also set up (Old factory, Al Quoz – Dubai, UAE).

1987

Ajmal becomes the first company to bring the magical notes of Dahn AL Oudh to a wider global audience by launching it as an EDP.

    Ajmal launches ‘Sarah’ as its first branded ‘Mukhallat’.
    Sarah goes on to become one of the Middle East’s largest selling all-time fragrances.

    Ajmal launches ‘Dahn Al Oudh Moattaq’, which at USD 700 for a 12ml bottle becomes one of the most expensive fragrances in the world.

  • Ajmal celebrates Golden 50th Year.

    Ajmal creates a Guinness World Record by building the biggest incense burner (Madhkhan) in the world.

  • Ajmal launches ‘Eternal by Ajmal’ a concept where Art meets Perfumery.

    In 2019 the concept was modernized to a luxurious retail concept ‘Crafted by senses’ where Man meets the Nature.

  • 2002
    Ajmal started its Export division and starts distributing in global markets. At present, Ajmal is distributing to 60 countries globally.

  • 2004
    Ajmal inaugurates its 2nd state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Dubai, UAE.

    The inauguration is done by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance and Industry.
  • 2007
    100th Outlet opens in the Gulf, as of today Ajmal has over 240 retail outlets across the globe.

2015

Ajmal adopts the Omni Channel experience.


Ajmal launches eCommerce website www.shop.ajmalperfume.com catering to audience in the Gulf region.

Ajmal’s Landmark Boutique at Muscat Duty Free
